my story...
I’ve always been a detail person...with a love of words, paper, fonts and photography. But figuring out how to pour those passions into one place is another story!
My love of words led me to Vanderbilt University, where I was an English and Communication Studies major. Debate and Public Speaking were my favorite classes...and good training for my dream job of anchoring the Today Show. Who says you can’t dream big?
Just before my senior year, I was named the Editor-in-Chief of The Vanderbilt Review, an art and literary publication. Quite a surprise considering I had zero layout and design experience, but someone decided I had a good eye and could learn the rest. So began my love of paper, fonts and photography.
I graduated in 1997 with one goal: earn enough money to put my soon-to-be husband through graduate school. So off to Enron I went...writing and communicating for executives. I was blessed with some incredible opportunities and an increasing paycheck, but I was longing for more...more beauty, more creativity, more heart!
I left Enron in 2000, enjoyed a short stint in a photography studio, then landed the best job ever: motherhood. As I proudly displayed my babies on my home-made Christmas cards, people began to ask if I would do the same for them. You know how this story ends. All of my passions finally found their home!
I founded LLH Designs in 2004, and eight seasons later...I still love what I do! I’m honored to design faith-inspired, passion-filled Christmas cards for the most amazing clients!
If you like what you see - clean, classic designs with personal, heartfelt messages and meticulous photo editing - I’d love to work with you!
